BOUQUET BOOT CAMP

As a floral designer and shop owner for more than a dozen years, I have been approached from people from every possible line of work who tell me that their secret dream is to become a floral designer.

One of the wonderful things about working with flowers is that it is tactile and therapeutic as well as artistic. It engages all the senses and there is a tremendous feeling of accomplishment that comes from taking pretty flowers and turning them into even more interesting floral sculpture.

It is my belief that the basic skills of flower arranging can be easily taught to just about everyone.

Our Bouquet Bootcamps are kept small in size to ensure individual attention (6-8 participants maximum).

Prices for all bootcamps are $100/pp for a 2-3 hour class. In addition, a $75 materials charges is additional and covers the cost of the flower and containers used. Participants will make 2-3 arrangements in each class and will take their arrangements home at the end of the class.

Bouquet Bootcamp - Introduction

This class is an introducation to basic floral design. Students will learn the basics of local and imported flowers and foliage. Cleaning, Conditioning and Choosing Flowers will be covered. Participants will learn to do an arrangement in a vase and an arrangement in Floral foam. 2-3 hours in length.

Wedding Bootcamp - Personal Flowers

This class is for those DIY Brides or friends who wish to learn about doing fresh flowers for weddings. This class covers which flowers are available in each season. It will cover how and what to purchase as well as cleaning, conditioning and caring for your flowers. In this class, the focus will be on basic bouquet making as well as corsages and boutonniers. 3 hours in length.

Wedding Bootcamp - Table Flowers

This class is a continuation of the "Personal Flowers" course. The emphasis on this course if centerpieces. Various styles and trends are covered. Basic techniques for helping a novice floral designer achieve professional results is the goal of this class. 2-3 different styles of arrangements will be created. 3 hours in length.

Corporate Retreats

Our bootcamps have been very successful for our corporate clients. Spending the afternoon making flowers is a nice change from drum circles and clown classes.

For Corporate retreats, the courses can be altered based on your needs and we are able to organize these retreats in your own corporate environment or in our studio. Quots and further information available upon request.
